Ariana Grande Captivates at SAG Awards with Floral Gown

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Ariana Grande dazzled on the red carpet at the SAG Awards on February 23, showcasing a custom light pink Loewe gown that earned her a nomination for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role for her role as Glinda in the film Wicked.

The strapless corset dress featured a floral bodice, with each flower meticulously crafted from feathers, creating an optical illusion down the length of the gown. The skirt gracefully cascaded into a train, enhancing her enchanting appearance.

Grande accessorized her look with stunning jewels from Jared Atelier, adding a touch of glamour to her signature style. She wore her hair up in a sleek ponytail, allowing the details of her gown to take center stage.

In this year’s competitive category, Grande is nominated alongside Monica Barbaro for A Complete Unknown, Jamie Lee Curtis for The Last Showgirl, Danielle Deadwyler for The Piano Lesson, and Zoe Saldaña for Emilia Pérez.

Her Wicked co-stars also garnered nominations, with the film aiming for the SAG Award in outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture and outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble. The musical has proved to be a strong contender this awards season.

Though Grande has been nominated in past ceremonies, she has yet to secure a win in this category, with Saldaña recently taking home several awards, including at the BAFTAs and the Critics' Choice Awards.

Looking ahead, Grande is also preparing for the Oscars on March 2, where she has received her first nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Expressing her emotional response on social media, she shared, “I cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise.”

The Best Supporting Actress category at the Oscars features fierce competition, including fellow SAG nominees Barbaro and Saldaña, as well as Felicity Jones for The Brutalist and Isabella Rossellini for Conclave. Wicked has garnered a total of ten Oscar nominations, tying it for second-most this year.

Throughout the awards season, Grande has made headlines for her striking fashion choices reminiscent of her character, Glinda. She previously accepted the Rising Star Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on January 3, in a gown inspired by Glinda’s signature style.

At the 2025 Golden Globes on January 5, Grande channeled Glinda’s wardrobe with another stunning dress, followed by an appearance at the BAFTAs on February 16 with a Louis Vuitton ensemble. Her Critics’ Choice Awards look featured a unique cage dress adorned with floral appliqués.
