Ariana Grande Releases New Single 'yes, And?' As She Preps For Upcoming Album

Ariana Grande has been a busy woman in the past year, to say the least. The Grammy Award-winning singer has been splitting her time between filming the highly anticipated Wicked movie, running a cosmetics empire with her R.E.M. Beauty brand, and preparing for her upcoming album. The album’s lead single, ‘Yes, And?’ was released today, giving fans a taste of what to expect in her new era.

The forthcoming project marks Grande’s first new album in four years, and it was brought to life by legendary pop producer Max Martin. ‘Yes, And?’ features groovy disco beats that have been popular in the music industry for the past decade.

The lyrics of the song address the criticism Grande has faced in the past year regarding her personal life, as she confidently owns her decisions. The music video for the track showcases critics blasting the singer, only to be proven wrong when she delivers a powerful choreographed performance in a warehouse. She sings, ‘Don’t comment on my body, do not reply. Your business is yours and mine is mine. Why do you care so much whose d**k I ride?’ directly addressing the rumors and speculation surrounding her personal life.

The chorus of ‘Yes, And?’ also offers advice to past lovers who may still be hung up on her, encouraging them to embrace positivity and self-confidence. Grande implores, ‘If you find yourself in a dark situation, just turn on your light and be like, ”Yes, and?” Say that s**t with your chest, and be your own f**kin’ best friend.’

More details about the new album and subsequent singles are expected to be announced in the near future.
