Ariel Winter Shares Life Updates Post-Hollywood
Ariel Winter, widely known for her role in the hit television series ‘Modern Family,’ has made significant changes to her lifestyle since the show’s conclusion. In an exclusive interview with E! News, Winter, now 26, discussed her decision to leave Los Angeles, seeking a quieter and more reflective life outside the entertainment hub.
“I don’t think L.A. was ever really my vibe, but I just was nervous,” Winter stated. “And then this opportunity presented itself, and I was like, you know what? I’m in a season of change, and I’m really trying to heal and grow and evolve. It’s opened up my world a lot.”
Despite the physical distance from Hollywood, Winter maintains a strong connection with her ‘Modern Family’ co-stars. Her appreciation for the cast was evident when they supported her at the fourth Annual Legacy Ball on October 5, where she received the Legacy Award. Her co-star and on-screen brother, Nolan Gould, along with her boyfriend, Luke Benward, were present to honor her achievement. “He is my brother,” Winter commented about Gould. “We have gone through so many stages of life together, and we have stuck through it all, thick and thin.”
The actress highlighted the enduring bonds formed during the 11-season run of the show. “We all love each other. It’s amazing,” she expressed, discussing the familial connections that extend beyond the set. “You spend so much time with people, you really do become the family that you portray.”
Winter, who has also voiced the title character in ‘Sofia the First,’ credited her five-year relationship with actor Luke Benward as another cornerstone of her current life. The pair shares a deep friendship that Winter believes is vital in sustaining their relationship. “There are so many things that go into a partnership, but what I find so important is a ‘best friendship,'” she reflected. “I feel like, if you have that foundation, you really can weather a lot of storms.”
While she enjoys life with Benward, Winter remains open about the future. “I just love him,” she replied when asked about their plans. “And whatever the future is for us, it is for us. We got our dog kids, and we love our life.”
