Artem Chigvintsev, renowned dancer and husband of Nikki Bella, has been arrested and charged with domestic battery in Napa County, California. The arrest took place on August 29, 2024, following a 911 call that reported domestic violence. Chigvintsev’s bail has been set at $25,000.

This incident occurred just two days after the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary. They have a four-year-old son named Matteo. The victim in the case has opted to remain anonymous during the ongoing investigation.

Chigvintsev, who is best known for his time as a professional dancer on ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ and Bella, legally known as Nikki Garcia, initially met in 2017 when they were partnered together on the show. Their wedding was later featured in a special on E! titled ‘Nikki Bella Says I Do.’

Prior to this incident, Chigvintsev faced allegations of abusive behavior during the 2012 season of ‘Strictly Come Dancing‘ in the UK, as reported by his former partner Fern Britton. She described instances of physical aggression and verbal threats during their time together.

Representatives for both Chigvintsev and Garcia have not made immediate comments regarding the recent arrest. Following the couple’s anniversary celebrations, Chigvintsev had shared heartfelt messages on social media expressing his love for Garcia.
