Arvest Bank Customers Struggle with Mobile App Outages

ARKANSAS, USA — Hundreds of Arvest Bank customers faced login issues with their online and mobile banking services on Friday, April 25, according to reports. The outages began around 1 a.m. and surged at approximately 6:36 a.m., with Down Detector noting 438 outages by 10:21 a.m., before dropping to 310 by 12:21 p.m.
Arvest Bank acknowledged the problems in a statement, saying, “Customers may currently have an issue logging in to online and mobile banking. Our teams are aware and actively working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.” Most reports indicated problems with the mobile app, with 59% of issues related to mobile logins, 25% to online banking, and 16% to online logins.
At noon, the bank provided further details about the outage. Arvest explained, “During routine system updates Thursday evening after bank hours, there was an internal issue that caused a small number of customers who logged into online banking or the Arvest Go mobile app to have briefly viewed account information that did not match theirs. Our teams immediately identified the issue and temporarily disabled certain online functions while taking measures to correct it.” The bank emphasized that there had been no cyber incident or unauthorized system access.
Despite the technical difficulties, Arvest branches, ATMs with Live Tellers, and regular ATMs remained operational. Customers were reminded they could visit physical locations for assistance. As frustration grew among users, many took to social media to express concerns about their ability to pay bills and access funds, with some threatening to switch banks due to repeated outages this year.
Arvest reassured its users that it is working diligently to resolve the issues and restore full functionality to its mobile and online services.
