Ather Energy Launches Ather Rizta Electric Scooter in India with New Features and Upgrades
Ather Energy, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer in India, has announced the launch of its latest electric scooter, the Ather Rizta. Priced competitively at Rs. 1.10 lakh onwards (introductory, ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the bookings for the Rizta have started at Rs. 999, with deliveries set to begin in July.
The Ather Rizta brings a new platform and design to the market, building on the success of the 450 Series. It features a more universal design with softer lines, rounded panels, a mono-LED headlamp, and a sleek LED taillight. The scooter comes with 12-inch alloy wheels for enhanced stability.
One of the standout features of the Ather Rizta is its spacious seat that comfortably accommodates two passengers. The scooter also offers a flat floorboard for convenient storage, including a gas cylinder. Technologically, the Rizta inherits features from the advanced 450X model, such as a TFT digital instrument console with touch functionality and smartphone connectivity.
The Ather Rizta is powered by a potent motor mounted to the frame, providing quick acceleration from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 80 kmph. The scooter offers multiple battery pack options, with the 2.9 kWh unit delivering a range of 105 km and the larger 3.7 kWh battery pack offering 125 km on a single charge.
With telescopic forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear, the Ather Rizta ensures a smooth and controlled ride. The scooter features front disc and rear drum brakes, providing reliable stopping power. It competes with models like the TVS iQube, Ola S1 Pro, and Bajaj Chetak in the market.
Ather Energy has also introduced several upgrades to its Stack 6 technology, including Coasting regen, over-the-air updates up to Gen 3, improved dashboard display, GPS functionality, and an enhanced mobile app. These updates enhance the overall user experience and connectivity options for customers.
