Ava Max Lights Up Festival D'été De Québec In Electrifying Performance

Taking the stage for the first time in Canada, the American sensation Ava Max brought the house down at the Festival d'été de Québec on Sunday. Accompanied by four talented dancers, the 30-year-old pop star delivered a show that rivaled even the biggest names in the industry. Her stage presence drew comparisons to the likes of Lady Gaga, showcasing a vibrant energy that had the crowd on their feet from start to finish.

Ava Max’s performance was not only a vocal spectacle but also a visual feast, with the artist displaying impressive dance moves alongside her powerful vocals. Hits like ‘Million Dollar Baby’ and ‘Sweet But Psycho’ had festival-goers dancing up a storm, with some even attempting a bit of crowd-surfing during the latter track.

Throughout her set, Ava Max also treated the audience to a mix of tracks from her albums ‘Heaven & Hell’ (2020) and ‘Diamonds & Dancefloors’ (2023), as well as fan favorites like ‘Choose Your Fighter’ from the Barbie movie album. The highlight of the night came with ‘The Motto’, a collaboration with Tiësto that left the crowd buzzing with excitement.

Meanwhile, the festival was at full capacity as Seattle‘s rising hip-hop star Charlieonnafriday took the stage. With infectious tracks like ‘After Hours’ and ‘Same Friends’, the 21-year-old artist had the audience bouncing to his unique blend of rap and vocals. Teasing unreleased songs like ‘Bottle Go Down’ and ‘Young and Foolish’, Charlieonnafriday proved why he’s a name to watch in the music scene.

Vancouver‘s own Jade LeMac also made a mark with her pop-infused performance, showcasing tracks from her EP ‘Constellations’ (2023). Ending her set with the title track, Jade left the crowd eagerly anticipating her upcoming French-language album set to release this fall.

Additionally, Clodelle wowed the audience with her versatile set, blending trilingual hits from ‘Gemini‘ (2022) with unreleased tracks and crowd-pleasers like ‘I Lost My Baby’. The pop-punk influences of Laraw rounded out the evening, offering a fresh take on the pop-rock genre and captivating the audience with her introspective stage presence.
