Avelo Airlines Launches New Direct Route from New Haven to Dallas-Fort Worth

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Avelo Airlines is expanding its flight network with the introduction of a new direct service between Tweed-New Haven Airport and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, set to begin operating in June 2024.

This route becomes the airline’s second destination in Texas, following the launch of its Houston service earlier this year. The new flights will be available twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, utilizing Boeing 737 Next-Generation aircraft.

Promotional fares for the new route start at $84 for one-way tickets, and these can be booked directly on Avelo Airlines’ official website. The airline currently offers a total of 30 non-stop destinations spanning 12 states and Puerto Rico.

According to Andrew Levy, founder and CEO of Avelo Airlines, the addition of this route underscores the company’s commitment to providing affordable, reliable travel options. “We are thrilled to launch this service from southern Connecticut to our second destination in Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth,” Levy said. “The demand for our Houston route has been very positive, and we are confident that this new option will be equally successful.”

Levy further noted that the introduction of this flight is expected to improve accessibility for travelers in both regions. “It has never been more affordable, convenient, and reliable to travel between Connecticut and Texas. Additionally, this route will make it easier for Texans to access everything Connecticut has to offer,” he added.

Avelo Airlines operates from a base in New Haven and maintains a fleet of eight aircraft, employing over 270 staff members. With this new service, the airline aims to enhance travel opportunities for those looking to explore various attractions in Texas while also promoting Connecticut tourism.
