Avelo Airlines Launches New Concord to New York Flight

CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) – Avelo Airlines has launched a new nonstop flight from Concord-Padgett Regional Airport to Long Island MacArthur Airport in New York. The route began operating last Thursday, just in time for the Memorial Day weekend, and will offer service twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
The airline is the only operator providing direct flights to this New York airport from Concord. One-way fares start at $49, making it an affordable travel option for many.
Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO, stated, “We continue to inspire travel by growing our service in Concord/Charlotte with this new route to New York. With four nonstop options from USA, we continue to share Avelo’s low fares, travel-friendly convenience and industry-leading reliability with our Queen City Customers.”
This new route coincides with recent changes in Avelo’s flight offerings. The airline had canceled several routes, including those to Nashville, Tennessee, and Daytona Beach, Florida, due to poor performance and low bookings. Washington Dulles and Detroit were also slated to launch but were scrapped.
Avelo began its service at Concord on March 6, 2025, alongside other nonstop destinations like Boston, New Haven, and Rochester. The airport in Concord aims to provide a viable alternative to the larger Charlotte Douglas International Airport, offering commercial passenger services through both Allegiant and Avelo airlines.
