Bad Bunny to Headline 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl halftime show next year. The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced the news during the halftime of a game between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
Super Bowl 60 will take place on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Bad Bunny expressed his excitement in a statement, saying, “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
The announcement comes on the heels of Bad Bunny’s successful concert residency in Puerto Rico that attracted over 500,000 fans. He is also leading all nominees for the upcoming Latin Grammy Awards.
Born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, the 31-year-old artist did not schedule any concerts in the United States during his current world tour. He mentioned concerns regarding potential immigration raids by ICE, saying, “I was afraid ICE could be outside my concert.”
Roc Nation founder Jay-Z praised Bad Bunny’s impact on Puerto Rico, stating, “What he has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”
Bad Bunny is a prominent figure in Latin music, having won three Grammy Awards and 12 Latin Grammy Awards. Known for his dynamic performances, he has also starred in films such as “Bullet Train” and “Caught Stealing.” This year, he is the leading nominee for the Latin Grammys with 12 nominations.
The Super Bowl will follow the record-setting halftime show of 2025, which attracted 133.5 million viewers, previously held by Michael Jackson in 1993. This year’s performance is expected to add to Bad Bunny’s growing list of accomplishments and celebrate Latin culture on a grand stage.
