INDIO, Calif. – Country music stars Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs are stirring excitement with their newly announced collaboration, titled “Backup Plan.” The two artists shared a teaser for the song on April 21 on social media, promising an anthem of resilience.

Zimmerman and Combs previewed the track during a video, with lyrics urging listeners to pursue their dreams despite challenges. The snippet opens with Zimmerman singing, “You gotta fire, don’t lose it/ If you got a do-or-die dream, do it,” followed by Combs leading with, “If you’ve got somethin’ to prove, go on and prove it.” Together, they harmonize on the line, “Don’t let nobody clip your wings.” The upbeat, rock-inspired sound is expected to vibe well with their audience.

The upcoming release follows Zimmerman’s recent success with his hit collaboration “All The Way,” which debuted at No. 4 on the all-genre charts. Both artists are gearing up for festival performances, with Combs headlining the Stagecoach Country Music Festival this weekend in Indio.

Zimmerman is set to perform next at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on May 3 and will also participate in Morgan Wallen’s Sand in My Boots festival and the CMA Fest in Nashville later in June.

No release date for “Backup Plan” has been confirmed, but the artists hinted it will be available soon. Fans can stay updated by following Zimmerman and Combs on social media.
