Bailey Zimmerman Thrills CMA Fest Attendees with Surprising Gig and New Releases

Nashville, TN – The CMA Fest is in full swing, and country singer Bailey Zimmerman is taking the stage to perform for an audience of 60,000 fans. On June 5, 2025, Zimmerman expressed his excitement saying, “It’s going to be insane.”
While preparing for his performance, Zimmerman decided to make time to work a shift at Raising Cane's, a popular chicken restaurant. The country star was seen operating the register at its flagship location in Nashville, Tennessee, delighting fans as he balanced work with music.
Zimmerman is also promoting his upcoming album, Different Night Same Rodeo. Recently, he collaborated with Grammy-winning artist Luke Combs on a new song titled “Backup Plan.” Zimmerman described working with Combs as a dream come true. “I never really thought he was going to reply when I reached out about a collab, but he hit me up a month later and we’ve been good buddies ever since,” he said.
The rising star also shared that Combs, who usually avoids filming content, made an exception for him. “Luke wanted to shoot with me, so it was an honor,” Zimmerman added. Their collaboration has already reached the top 20 on the radio charts.
In addition to “Backup Plan,” Zimmerman is set to release a new single, “Comin’ In Cold,” on Friday. He described the song as a departure from his usual themes, stating, “It’s about this girl that I shouldn’t be chasing. I’m chasing red flags and I’m addicted to it.” He continued to explain that the inspiration came from his own life experiences over the last few years.
As he gears up for his summer tour, Zimmerman is excited to leave his mark on the country music scene. With performances like those at the CMA Fest and new music on the way, it appears Bailey Zimmerman is poised for a breakout year in the industry.
