Robert Lewandowski And Dani Olmo Fc Barcelona

BARCELONA, Spain — FC Barcelona will see the return of key players Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo for their match against Elche on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. This comes after both players recovered from injuries that sidelined them for several weeks.

Lewandowski, who missed multiple games due to a hamstring injury, had scored four goals in seven league appearances before his absence. Olmo, returning from a muscle injury, contributed one goal and two assists in eight matches this season.

Despite these positive returns, head coach Hansi Flick faces a challenge as the team remains hampered by injuries. Notable absentees include goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen and midfielder Pedri, who is out due to a left hamstring injury sustained during the recent Clásico against Real Madrid.

“We have to adjust the team,” Flick said during a press conference. “While it’s great to have Lewandowski and Olmo back, losing Pedri is a significant blow, especially since he has been a consistent starter.”

Barcelona lost their last match against Real Madrid 2-1 and aims to secure three points against Elche, who has been a surprise package in LaLiga this season. Flick praised Elche’s playing style, saying, “They are a strong team, and we must respect our game plan.”

Training sessions leading up to the match showed promising signs, with other players like Dani Olmo and young talents from Barça Atlètic participating actively.

The team hopes to capitalize on the offensive strength brought back by Lewandowski and Olmo to overcome their injury troubles and secure a win this Sunday.
