BarDa and MaThon Reunite for Iconic Line Exchange on Netflix’s ‘Bida/Bida’
Popular Philippine actors Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, Maris Racal, and Anthony Jennings recently delighted fans as they reunited for a special segment on Netflix’s digital series, ‘Bida/Bida’.
The quartet, known for their roles in hit series such as ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ and ‘Can't Buy Me Love‘, shared a fun moment where they exchanged each other’s most iconic lines from their respective shows.
Barbie and David, also known as ‘BarDa’, revisited their characters Klay and Fidel‘s memorable dialogues, while Maris and Anthony, or ‘MaThon’, playfully quoted lines from Irene and Snoop on ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’.
The actors flawlessly delivered lines like ‘Mama mo,’ ‘Binibining Klay, tinatangi kita,’ ‘Aircon ka, kanal ako,’ and ‘Babu!’ showcasing their exceptional acting skills and chemistry.
During their appearance on ‘Bida/Bida’, the stars discussed the influence of love teams in Philippine entertainment and the enjoyment they experience from being paired on screen.
BarDa and MaThon, as well as their characters from ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ and ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’, have garnered immense popularity among viewers, setting high expectations for their upcoming historical series ‘Pulang Araw’.
‘Pulang Araw’ follows the intertwining lives of four childhood friends – Klay, Fidel, Irene, and Snoop – amidst the turmoil of war and Japanese occupation in the Philippines. The series promises a journey of self-discovery and resilience, set to premiere on Netflix on July 26 and on GMA Prime on July 29.
