Bath & Body Works Names Daniel Heaf as New CEO

Columbus, Ohio – Bath & Body Works has announced that Daniel Heaf is its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Heaf takes over from Gina Boswell, who stepped down after leading the company since December 2022.
Heaf, previously the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Nike, is expected to bring a wealth of experience to the retailer. His role at Nike was recently eliminated by new CEO Elliott Hill. Prior to that, Heaf was head of Nike Direct, overseeing 45,000 employees and 9,000 stores globally.
Boswell led Bath & Body Works during a crucial time post-pandemic, helping the company achieve profitable revenue growth and stabilizing its operations. However, she took a leave of absence in March for surgery, paving the way for Heaf’s appointment.
Heaf plans to introduce new strategies aimed at connecting with younger consumers, specifically tweens, and increasing the brand’s appeal to men. Furthermore, the company strives to extend its international presence.
In conjunction with Heaf’s appointment, Bath & Body Works released strong first-quarter results showing a 3% revenue increase to $1.42 billion, and earnings per share of 49 cents. The company is confident in its growth outlook, projecting revenue growth between 1% to 3% for the full year 2025, despite challenges like tariffs on goods imported from China.
Sarah Nash, chair of the Board, commended Boswell for her contributions, recognizing her role in the company’s recovery during challenging times. The company is poised for further growth under Heaf’s leadership.
