Battlefield 6 Season 1 Details

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Electronic Arts has announced the roadmap for Battlefield 6, revealing a host of new content ahead of its launch on October 10. Players can look forward to an exciting first season, which will kick off on October 28.

The first update, titled “Rogue Ops,” will introduce a new map known as Blackwell Fields, set in sprawling industrial oil fields. It will also feature a new 4v4 mode called Strikepoint, alongside new weapons and a vehicle called the Traverser Mark 2.

“The first season kicks off with Rogue Ops, which includes a new map called Fields, a new 4v4 mode called Strikepoint, new weapons and more,” EA said in a press release.

Following Rogue Ops, the second part of Season 1, “California Resistance,” will be available on November 18. This update introduces Eastwood, a map inspired by Southern California, and an 8v8 limited-time mode named Sabotage.

In addition to the maps and modes, California Resistance will also bring new weapons, including the DB-12 shotgun and tactical enhancements like the M357 trait system.

The final phase of the season, “Winter Offensive,” is set for December 9 and promises to deliver a festive experience with a snowy twist on New York. A new variant of the Empire State map, called Ice Lock Empire State, will be introduced along with themed challenges.

DICE emphasized that all gameplay features impacting play in Battlefield 6 will be either free or earnable. Regular updates are planned to ensure the game evolves consistently.

Battlefield 6 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through platforms including Steam and the EA App. The fast-approaching seasonal updates aim to keep players engaged with new content every month.
