BBC Breakfast weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was left stunned as she was surprised by her co-stars Jon Kay and Sally Nugent who sang Happy Birthday to her live on air.
The Scots presenter who is celebrating her 62nd birthday today was flooded with supportive and congratulatory messages from viewers after her surprise on the show. As Sally and Jon transitioned to the weather segment this morning, they immediately began singing upon Carol’s appearance on screen.
The BBC star, who originally hails from the village of Morar in Inverness-shire, appeared surprised but delighted by the gesture, breaking into laughter as the singing continued.
