Benjamin Sesko Scores First Goal for Manchester United Amid Slow Start
Manchester, England – Ruben Amorim praised Benjamin Sesko for scoring his first goal for Manchester United despite the team suffering a 3-1 defeat against Brentford on Saturday. The Slovenian striker joined from RB Leipzig last summer and had a slow start with the club.
After seven appearances, Sesko finally found the back of the net during the match, providing a much-needed boost amid questions surrounding his performance. “Of course, he was anxious for his first goal,” Amorim said during an interview with MUTV. “The thing I like most in Ben is, even when things are hard for him with the ball, he is working hard in every minute of the game.”
Despite the loss, Amorim highlighted the importance of Sesko’s work ethic on the pitch. He emphasized that winning matches would build confidence among the players as they prepare for their upcoming game against Sunderland. “It’s really important to win games; that will give confidence for everybody in the team,” he stated.
United hopes to turn their season around, having started poorly, with only Everton and three relegated teams scoring fewer goals last season. Amorim stressed that the players need to remain focused throughout the entire match, noting, “Sometimes, we suffer a goal, and we lose a little bit of our organization. It’s important to play the full 90 minutes and to create opportunities.”
Amorim is determined that a positive result against Sunderland would improve the team’s morale as they head into the international break. “It’s a massive difference to go into the break with a positive result. We can show that when we are focused, we can win any game,” he added.
As they prepare for the game, Amorim hopes that Sesko will continue to improve and become a key player in the squad. He believes that hard work and adaptability will be the key to winning future matches.
