Betty White Memorial Stamp Release

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The U.S. Postal Service will honor the late actress and comedian Betty White with a collectible Forever stamp featuring her likeness during a special ceremony on March 27, 2025, at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

The event, hosted by Amber McReynolds, chairwoman of the U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors, is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. PT. Attendees can preregister online for free zoo admission on the day of the event.

The Betty White stamp showcases a digitally created portrait of the beloved actress against a violet-colored background, adorned with lighter, bubbly spots symbolizing her vibrant personality. Dressed in a blue polka-dotted top, White’s endearing smile captures the essence of a career that spanned over 60 years.

“This stamp is a tribute to a remarkable talent who brought joy and laughter to millions,” said McReynolds. “Betty’s contributions to television and animal welfare will never be forgotten.”

Throughout her illustrious career, White earned five Primetime Emmy Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Grammy Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Beyond her entertainment accolades, she was an outspoken advocate for animal rights.

The Forever stamp, which retains a value equivalent to the current First-Class Mail 1-ounce price, will be sold in panes of 20. According to postal representatives, the stamp features the text “Betty White” printed in white near the bottom of the design, with “FOREVER USA” beneath it in violet.

Those interested in purchasing the stamp can do so through the U.S. Postal Service website, by calling 844-737-7826, or visiting Post Office locations nationwide. Additional information regarding First Day of Issue ceremonies can also be found online.
