Beyoncé Surprises Fans With New Music Announcement During Super Bowl Ad
Beyoncé stunned fans during the Super Bowl with a surprise announcement of new music in a viral ad for US internet provider Verizon. In the ad, Beyoncé humorously attempts to ‘break the internet’ through a series of over-the-top stunts, only to concede in the final moments, ‘OK, they ready – drop the new music.’
The superstar quickly confirmed that her upcoming album, ‘Act II‘ of the ‘Renassiance’ project, is set to be released on March 29. Titled ‘Texas Hold 'Em‘ and ’16 Carriages,’ the album is hinted to have a country music twist, with Beyoncé seen sporting cowboy hats and Western wear in promotional images.
Two singles from the album, ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ and ’16 Carriages,’ were released for streaming on Spotify and YouTube. ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ is an upbeat track, while ’16 Carriages’ is a poignant country ballad where Beyoncé reflects on her past struggles and family challenges with raw honesty.
Beyoncé’s previous album, ‘Renaissance Act I,’ released in 2022, was praised for its celebration of dance and house music and earned Beyoncé her record-breaking 32nd Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.
