Big Country Communities Host Monthly Musical Events Featuring Local Musicians And Good Food

Two vibrant Big Country communities, Old Glory in Stonewall County and Callahan County, are set to host their monthly musical events showcasing local musicians and delectable food offerings this weekend.

The musical extravaganza in Old Glory is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. at the community center, coinciding with the opening of the concession stand. Attendees can expect the melodies to start flowing around 5:30 p.m., creating a harmonious ambiance for all who come to enjoy. On the other hand, in Callahan County, the Cottonwood Historical Association will welcome guests to their community center at 4:30 p.m. this Saturday for an evening of culinary and musical delights. Food will be served until 7 p.m., with a suggested donation of $10 per plate. The scrumptious menu will feature chopped beef sandwiches, potato salad, and beans sourced from Joe Allen’s Pit Bar-B-Que. The musical performances are slated to commence from 5 p.m. onwards. The venue is conveniently situated seven miles north of Cross Plains on FM 880.
