Billionaire Clive Palmer Revives Ambitious Titanic II Project with Hopes for Global Peace

Australian businessman and former politician Clive Palmer has reignited his ambitious vision of recreating the legendary Titanic II project, over a decade after its initial inception.

The revival of Palmer’s grand plan comes after a series of setbacks, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which had previously stalled the project.

Palmer, a prominent figure in Australia, has assured that this time, the venture will move forward with unwavering commitment.

Expressing his timeline, Palmer stated, “We hope to commence construction of the ship in 2025, with contracts set to be finalized by June this year, marking the beginning of construction in January or February 2025.”

In his address, Palmer touched upon the theme of ‘peace’ as a driving force behind the resumption of the Titanic II project.

“At a time when the world is fraught with conflict in regions like the Middle East, Ukraine, and Taiwan, the Titanic, we hope, can serve as a beacon of certain values that may pave the way towards international concord,” Palmer remarked.

Regarded as one of the wealthiest personalities in the nation, Palmer disclosed that his intentions had never been to feature on the rich list.

Elaborating on his mindset, Palmer shared, “I haven’t aspired for that recognition; I’ve simply aimed to lead a fulfilling life and give my best in all endeavors.”

Addressing his net worth as per reports, Palmer said, “I’ve seen estimations in publications like the Financial Review pegging me at around $23 billion. I reckon they might not be too far off within a 10 to 15 percent margin.”

Beyond his latest venture, Palmer divulged that he embarked on a journey towards a healthier lifestyle, shedding a substantial 20 kilograms.

He attributed his transformation to dietary adjustments like consuming smaller portions and integrating probiotics into his daily regimen, underlining the significant impact these changes had brought about.
