Buffalo Bills Trade News

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As the 2025 NFL trade deadline approaches on November 4, the Buffalo Bills are reportedly looking to strengthen their roster in two key positions: wide receiver and safety. The Bills, who are facing a two-game losing streak, see these positions as critical areas needing improvement.

In a recent article for The Athletic, it was reported that the Bills are exploring options to bolster their receiving corps, especially after injuries have plagued their current players. Joshua Palmer, added as a free agent, suffered an injury last week, while Curtis Samuel has also been sidelined with recurring injuries this season. Currently, Khalil Shakir leads the team with only 268 receiving yards in six games.

One name that has surfaced as a potential trade target is Brian Thomas Jr. from the Jacksonville Jaguars. After a strong rookie season where he recorded 1,282 receiving yards, Thomas has struggled to fit into the Jaguars’ current offensive scheme, with only 365 yards this season. Other possible targets include Rashid Shaheed and Jakobi Meyers.

If a trade does not materialize, the Bills may rely on Gabe Davis, who has been recovering from last season’s injury and is currently on the practice squad.

Safety has also been a concern for the Bills. With Taylor Rapp and Damar Hamlin on injured reserve, the team is left with Cole Bishop and other backups like Jordan Poyer and Sam Franklin Jr. If performance does not improve, acquiring a safety could become a priority following their game against the Carolina Panthers this week.

The Bills are currently seeking to avoid a third consecutive loss, a streak they have not experienced since 2018. As discussions heat up leading to the deadline, Buffalo looks to secure key players that can revitalize their season.
