Blackpink Announces 2025 World Tour After Solo Projects

SEOUL, South Korea — Blackpink, the globally renowned K-pop girl group, announced a 2025 world tour on Wednesday, marking their return to the stage after pursuing individual projects. The group released a teaser video titled “Blackpink 2025 World Tour Teaser,” showcasing highlights from their previous sold-out shows and igniting excitement among fans.

The upcoming tour follows the group’s record-breaking 2022-2023 “Born Pink” world tour, which spanned 22 countries and was hailed as the largest world tour in K-pop girl group history. The tour included stops in major U.S. cities such as Los Angeles, Dallas, and Chicago, culminating in a final encore performance in Seoul in September 2023.

Since the conclusion of their last tour, Blackpink members Rosé, Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa have focused on solo endeavors. Rosé released her debut album, “Rosie,” in December 2023, earning critical acclaim for its versatility. Lisa has been active with singles like “Rockstar” and collaborations with artists such as Rosalía and Doja Cat. Jennie announced her debut album, “Ruby,” and a solo tour, while Jisoo is set to release her debut EP, “Amortage,” and star in a new K-drama.

Despite their solo successes, the group renewed their contract with YG Entertainment for group activities while pursuing individual deals with other labels. Jennie signed with Columbia Records, Lisa partnered with RCA Records, and Rosé joined Atlantic Records. Jisoo also secured a solo deal, ensuring all members remain active in both group and solo capacities.

Fans, known as Blinks, flooded social media with excitement following the tour announcement. While specific dates and cities have yet to be revealed, the teaser has already generated significant buzz. It remains unclear whether the tour will coincide with a new album release.
