Blazers and Kings Clash in Preseason Duel at Moda Center

PORTLAND, Oregon — The Portland Trail Blazers will host the Sacramento Kings in their first home game of the exhibition season at Moda Center on Friday, October 10, at 7 p.m.
Both teams are looking to bounce back after losing their respective preseason openers. The Blazers fell to the Golden State Warriors, 129-123, on Wednesday night while the Kings lost 130-122 to the Toronto Raptors.
In their last game, the Blazers saw a strong offensive performance, scoring 39 points in the first quarter and building a 19-point lead heading into the fourth quarter before the Warriors’ reserves made a late surge. Shaedon Sharpe led the Blazers with 22 points, while Deni Avdija added 14 points and eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Kings were outscored 44-33 in the fourth quarter against the Raptors, despite Domantas Sabonis contributing 19 points and Zach LaVine scoring 16.
Fans will be particularly interested in the matchup between the Murray twins. Blazers’ Kris Murray, who scored 12 points in the previous game, will face off against his brother, Kings forward Keegan Murray, tonight.
Coach Chauncey Billups has indicated he may use different lineups in the preseason, so the starting five for the Blazers could change. Injuries may impact team performance, as Scoot Henderson, Robert Williams III, and Damian Lillard are expected to miss the game.
Portland’s next home game will be against the Warriors again on Tuesday at 7 p.m., closing out their exhibition season.
