The hit show, The Block, is back and this time, it’s taking place in the gorgeous Phillip Island, located just two hours south of Melbourne.

In the opening episode, judges Scott Cam and Shelley Craft couldn’t help but rave about the location, calling it ‘pure paradise’ and a ‘slice of heaven.’ Shelley even invited her kids to drop by while she films, calling it a wonderful family holiday spot.

Phillip Island is packed with activities to enjoy. A must-see is the nightly fairy penguin parade where hundreds of cute penguins come ashore at sunset, headed back to their burrows. Spectators can find the best view on the boardwalk.

If you’re into motorsports, the famous Grand Prix Circuit offers tours and the chance to catch a race event. There’s even a 750-metre loop around the track with beautiful ocean views.

Don’t forget to hit the beaches! The south side is perfect for surfers chasing big waves, while the north boasts calmer waters like Cowes Beach, a family favorite with an ice cream shop nearby.

For animal lovers, there’s a chance to get up close with Australian wildlife at a local sanctuary where you can hand-feed and pet koalas, kangaroos, and wallabies. Plus, there are wildlife shows and a mini-golf course.

If you’re looking for adventure, consider a boat cruise around the island, where you might spot seals, dolphins, or even migrating humpback whales!

For those who love to hike, the Cape Woolamai circuit offers breathtaking views with trails suitable for all fitness levels. The entire circuit adds up to an 8-kilometre return distance.

When it comes to staying on the island, there are options for every budget. Holiday parks are ideal for families looking to rent cabins or pitch tents, just a short walk from the beach.

If you’re feeling more adventurous, try glamping in spacious tents that come equipped with fancy touches like four-poster beds and wood-burning fireplaces.

For those wanting to indulge, a luxury coastal stay at a five-star property on a working micro-farm awaits, offering stunning views over Western Port Bay from cozy standalone cabins or a lovely farmhouse.
