CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Brad Keselowski is back at Charlotte Motor Speedway, eager to secure his second win in the Coca-Cola 600 this Sunday, May 25. Last year, he came close, finishing second when the race was called early due to weather, leaving him with lingering thoughts of what could have been.

Keselowski, the 2020 winner of this grueling race, reflected on his near victory last year. “I felt like we had a car to win the race,” he said. “We kind of ran down Christopher Bell twice and just didn’t get to see it play out.” This time, he is determined to finish what he started.

“We’ve got Charlotte this weekend, the Coke 600 — big race for our sport, big race for me,” Keselowski stated. He expressed disappointment over last year’s abrupt ending, saying, “Felt like I was going to win it again last year… and then the yellow came out and then the rain came and the race ended. That was a big bummer.” Despite the heartbreak, he remains focused on achieving another trophy: “Trying to get a second one. I’m going to be greedy.”

Keselowski, who also serves as a co-owner at RFK Racing, feels confident about his team’s performance on intermediate tracks. “Our mile-and-a-halves in particular seem to be our strength,” he explained. “We just gotta put all the pieces together.”

A crucial aspect of this strategy is his newly strengthened pit crew. “The pit crew is really coming together — we made a lot of changes there over the off-season and they’ve had a great couple of weeks,” he mentioned. “My confidence is growing in our team and how I drive the car. Just need to connect it all.”

As race day approaches, the anticipation builds for Keselowski and NASCAR fans alike. Will he grab that elusive second Coke 600 win? The answer will come this Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.
