Brad Pitt to Reunite with Quentin Tarantino for Director’s Final Film
Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is set to join forces once again with actor Brad Pitt for his upcoming film, ‘The Movie Critic.’ This project is expected to be Tarantino’s final directorial endeavor. After collaborating on ‘Inglourious Basterds‘ and ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,’ Pitt and Tarantino will reunite for what is sure to be another highly anticipated film.
‘The Movie Critic’ is rumored to be based on a real-life film critic whom Tarantino greatly admires. Set in 1970s California, the story revolves around a non-famous writer who used to pen movie reviews for an adult magazine. Tarantino previously mentioned that the film would introduce a new leading man, around 35 years old.
With the news of Pitt’s casting, it is confirmed that he will be a part of the project, although his specific role has not yet been disclosed. Pitt’s involvement marks the beginning of the cast announcements for ‘The Movie Critic.’ The film is expected to be distributed by Sony Pictures, and Stacey Sher has been selected as the producer.
Tarantino, known for his distinct style and storytelling, has long said that he plans to retire from directing after his 10th film. ‘The Movie Critic’ will be his final feature, as he considers his two-part ‘Kill Bill’ saga to be one cohesive movie. However, he has expressed interest in directing television in the future and also continuing his career as an author. Tarantino has already published a novelization of ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ and a book of film criticism titled ‘Cinema Speculation.’
‘The Movie Critic’ does not have a confirmed release date yet, but it is set for a 2025 premiere. As more details emerge about this highly anticipated project, fans will eagerly await further casting updates and a glimpse into Tarantino’s distinctive vision once again.
