Breeze Airways Suspends Service from Mobile International Airport
Breeze Airways, the Utah-based low-cost carrier, will suspend all operations from Mobile International Airport by Jan. 31, the company announced Friday. The decision leaves the downtown Mobile airport without any commercial airline service for the first time in years.
Breeze Airways began offering flights from Mobile to Orlando and Providence, R.I., in April 2024. However, the airline cited operational challenges and the need to reallocate resources as reasons for the suspension. In a statement, Breeze expressed optimism about Mobile’s potential but provided no timeline for resuming service.
