Bridgerton Season 4 Cast In Regency Attire

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 14, 2025 — Netflix‘s popular series Bridgerton is set to return for its fourth season, which will center on Benedict Bridgerton’s journey to find love. In an exclusive reveal, cast members and a trailer were showcased during a fan event this Valentine’s Day.

The teaser, released on Feb. 14, provides a glimpse of the beloved regency era series, hinting at the return of familiar faces. Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict, is seen in traditional attire at his mother’s masquerade ball, where the story’s romance unfolds.

A new character, Sophie Baek, portrayed by Yerin Ha, takes center stage as Benedict’s love interest. Viewers will witness their first encounter during the lavish event, which is essential in the plot’s development. Sophie, a resourceful maid, disguises herself to attend the ball and meets the charming Benedict, igniting an intriguing romance.

In addition to Thompson and Ha, other returning cast members include Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington, and Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton. The trailer teases their storylines will intertwine, promising drama and romance as the characters navigate love and social status.

“The scripts Jess [Brownell] and her team have come up with are dynamite,” Thompson remarked about the upcoming season. “It’s a blend of old-school fairy tale and reality that really excites me.”

The trailer hints at other returning characters, such as Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), and Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton). Each returning character adds a rich tapestry of relationships to the upcoming narrative, drawing viewers into the opulent world of high society.

While a specific release date has yet to be announced, production has officially commenced, with a targeted premiere likely in 2026. Fans remain eager for updates on character developments and the love story at the heart of the new season.

Brownell, the showrunner, has indicated that Bridgerton will continue to draw from Julia Quinn’s novels, maintaining thematic ties to the source material. The focus on Benedict’s narrative will align with the book An Offer From a Gentleman, which highlights themes of social class and romance.

During the fan event, cast members expressed enthusiasm for their roles, with Ha particularly sharing her excitement about joining the series. “Sophie’s journey involves overcoming obstacles, and I’m thrilled to portray that,” Ha said. “It’s empowering to play a character that resonates with so many.”

This season not only brings back familiar dynamics but also introduces new characters that promise to deepen the narrative. The anticipation for Bridgerton continues to grow as fans await the evolution of their favorite characters and the introduction of new relationships.
