Bridget Fonda Makes Rare Appearance After Years Away from Spotlight

Los Angeles, CA – Bridget Fonda, known for her role as a journalist in ‘The Godfather Part III,’ recently stepped back into the public eye after years away from the limelight. The actress was last seen on a red carpet in 2009 before taking a step back from her career to focus on family.
Fonda was spotted at LAX Airport in April while sporting a stylish gray trench coat, black trousers, and sneakers. Her hair was pulled back, and she appeared noticeably slim and healthy as she carried an overnight bag. This sighting comes just weeks after she made another rare appearance with her husband, composer Danny Elfman, marking their first joint outing in nearly 16 years.
The 61-year-old actress looked chic in a black pea coat paired with matching trousers and brought a pop of color to her outfit with a red cross-body bag. Elfman, known for composing scores for films such as ‘Batman’ and ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas,’ kept it casual with a baseball t-shirt and cap.
Rumors surrounding the couple’s relationship were addressed during their outing, quelling speculation that they had separated after over two decades of marriage. Fonda comes from a prestigious acting lineage, with her grandfather Henry Fonda, father Peter Fonda, and aunt Jane Fonda all making their mark in Hollywood.
In a 2000 interview, Bridget reflected on her insecurities as an actress, admitting, ‘What is it with my low self-esteem?’ She expressed a desire to be content with her achievements while struggling to meet her own expectations.
Bridget Fonda has a memorable filmography, including roles in ‘Jackie Brown‘ and ‘Point of No Return.’ However, she decided to step away from her acting career after welcoming her son, Oliver, in 2005 with Elfman. Her last credited role was in the 2002 TV movie ‘Snow Queen,’ shortly before surviving a serious car accident that left her with two fractured vertebrae.
Since then, Fonda has been more of a private citizen and less of a public figure. When asked if she’d consider returning to acting, she simply replied, ‘No, I don’t think so. It’s too nice being a civilian.’ Despite her extended absence from the spotlight, Bridget appears to be thriving with a renewed confidence and healthier lifestyle.
