Brie Larson In The Bear Season 4

CHICAGO, IL — The fourth season of FX‘s hit series ‘The Bear‘ welcomed Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson to its ensemble cast, solving one of the show’s lingering mysteries. In Episode 6, set at the wedding of Tiff (Gillian Jacobs) and Frank (Josh Hartnett), tensions rise as family dynamics play out among guests.

While the wedding serves as a reunion for the Berzatto family, it also brings tension with Larson’s character, Francine Fak, who joins as Neil’s (Matty Matheson) sister. Notably absent is their sibling Sammy (John Cena). This episode, the longest of Season 4 at 69 minutes, unfolds chaos as it becomes clear that Tiff considers Frank’s family closely tied to her own.

Throughout the episode, Francine’s presence hints at deeper family secrets, especially regarding an unresolved feud with Sugar (Abby Elliott). Viewers learn that the animosity may have originated from an intimate encounter between Francine and Sugar, as revealed in a somewhat joking manner by a cousin, causing alarm for Pete (Chris Witaske). When questioned, Pete’s wife simply laughed and denied any romantic feelings for Francine.

Larson is not the only new addition this season; Danielle Deadwyler also made her debut in Episode 4 as Syd’s cousin Chantel, contributing to a lighthearted parenting moment. The standout episode was co-written by Edebiri and Lionel Boyce, who plays chef Marcus, and directed by Janicza Bravo.

Additionally, familiar faces returned, including Jamie Lee Curtis as Donna and Bob Odenkirk as Uncle Lee, adding to the ensemble’s rich tapestry. Season 4 of ‘The Bear’ is currently available for streaming on Hulu, diving deeper into the intricate lives of its characters.
