Brody Jenner Opens Up About Caitlyn Jenner’s Apology and Their Relationship

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Brody Jenner revealed in an exclusive interview with E! News that he recently received a heartfelt apology from Caitlyn Jenner, his father, for feeling “abandoned” during his childhood. The reality TV star, who appeared on *Special Forces: World's Toughest Test*, shared that their relationship has evolved positively over time.

“We talk all the time,” Brody said. “I even texted Caitlyn after I watched the episode. I’m like, ‘Hey Dad, just so you know, there’s this stuff.’ But, we’re in a good place.” He added that Caitlyn was supportive and understanding, acknowledging the nature of reality TV. “She’s like, ‘Look, I’ve done all these types of shows. I know how these things work, but you’re doing great.'”

Brody, 41, reflected on his childhood, describing the challenges of navigating his parents’ separation and Caitlyn’s subsequent relationships. “I had an incredible mother,” he said, referencing his mom, Linda Thompson. “They split, and then he met a woman. She had kids as well, the woman that he met, then they had kids together.” Despite the complexities, Brody emphasized that he and Caitlyn have moved past their differences.

“Just recently, I got a real, sincere apology,” Brody shared. “It was the first time in my life that I’ve ever gotten an apology. You know, I’m sorry for not being there, and honestly, it meant a lot.”

Brody also spoke about how his own experience as a father has shaped his perspective. He and fiancée Tia Blanco are parents to a 17-month-old daughter. “Everything about fatherhood serves as my favorite part of life,” he said. “It’s just watching sort of yourself in another human being that is just like yourself and your fiancée and just this little creation. It’s the most rewarding thing that I’ve ever done in my life.”
