Bruce Springsteen Shocks Fans with New Look at Phoenix Tour Kickoff
Bruce Springsteen made a surprising return to the stage in Phoenix this week, kicking off his 2024 tour with the E Street Band at the Footprint Center in Arizona.
Springsteen’s comeback performance comes after a health scare that led to the postponement of his 2023 tour due to peptic ulcer disease and subsequent surgery.
While fans were thrilled to see the legendary rocker back in action, many were taken aback by his appearance, with some comparing him to Hollywood icon Tilda Swinton, as well as drawing similarities to Megan Anna Rapinoe and Ellen DeGeneres.
The Phoenix concert marked the band’s first show since Springsteen had to put a halt to his tour last year to focus on his health.
In a poignant moment, Springsteen recently lost his mother, Adele, and paid tribute to her with a heartfelt post on social media.
Known for their close relationship, Adele had been a supportive presence at many of her son’s performances, often joining him on stage to dance to his music.
Springsteen’s Phoenix gig is just the beginning of a world tour that will take him to numerous countries, including a sold-out show in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
