Bryan Cranston Malcolm In The Middle Reboot

Hollywood, CA – Bryan Cranston, known for his iconic role as Hal in the beloved series ‘Malcolm in the Middle‘, has successfully revived his character for an upcoming reboot. Cranston, who gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Walter White in ‘Breaking Bad‘, has been pushing for this return for several years.

During a recent appearance on the podcast ‘Fly on the Wall’ hosted by Dana Carvey and David Spade, Cranston revealed his persistence in bringing Hal back. He recounted pitching the idea to Linwood Boomer, the show’s creator. Initially, Boomer rejected the proposal. However, after several attempts over a few years, he agreed to consider the project when someone else would write it.

Cranston shared, “When I first pitched it to him, he said, ‘No, I’m not interested.’” He added that Boomer eventually softened, saying, “‘Well, I, you know, if someone else wrote it, maybe I’ll look at it.’” After some time, Boomer had an idea, and Cranston was excited to move forward.

The reboot will consist of a four-episode series shot recently for Disney+. Cranston expressed his enthusiasm for working with the original cast, noting that the boys from the series are now adults, resembling the age he was when they first started filming.

Fans are eager to see whether the reboot will be considered a continuation of the original series. Details are still pending, but with Cranston at the helm, the project has already generated interest and anticipation.
