Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Unveils New Operators, Weapons in Season 3 Launch

LOS ANGELES, CA — On April 2, 2025, the highly anticipated Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched, introducing new operators, weapons, and an extensive battle pass.
Special Agent Jason Hudson returns with crucial leads on the identities of the elusive Pantheon moles who have been operating covertly since the Vietnam War. With the aid of the BlackCell and the new Battle Pass, players are tasked with exposing these traitors during gameplay.
The Season 3 Battle Pass features over 100 rewards, including new base weapons, operators, and exclusive cosmetic items. Players can engage with different tiers, earning up to 1,100 COD Points as they progress. The BlackCell offers an upgraded experience with additional animated skins and weapon blueprints.
Season 3 brings back popular operators like Mace along with R0-Z3, who leads BlackCell content. Each operator’s design integrates new animations and unique skins to enhance visual engagement.
“With the return of Verdansk, players can anticipate a nostalgic experience as they engage in the thrill of battle,” said a Treyarch representative. “The game features an array of classic maps, modes, and weapons that fans know and love.”
Among the new weapons available for players are the CR-56 AMAX assault rifle and HDR sniper rifle, both of which promise to change the dynamics of combat on the battlefield. Players will unlock these weapons by progressing through designated Battle Pass pages.
BlackCell subscribers will receive additional rewards tied to their purchases, including exclusive XP boosts and daily challenges across multiplayer modes, Zombies, and Call of Duty: Warzone.
Treyarch announced that players who participated in previous seasons of BlackCell would enjoy ongoing loyalty bonuses, increasing their XP efficiency throughout Season 3.
As part of expansion efforts, the store features notable bundles such as those themed around the iconic duo Jay and Silent Bob, complete with character skins, a finishing move, and weapon blueprints. “Fans can expect that both nostalgia and fresh content will resonate well with our dedicated community,” added Treyarch.
The multiplayer experience in Season 3 includes the addition of the Demolition and Sharpshooter game modes, which reflect the franchise’s heritage. What’s more, players can navigate through challenges and access exclusive cosmetics designed to celebrate the game’s historic milestones.
As players dive back into the action, the classic combat of Call of Duty is set to unfold with new updates and returning favorites. Players are encouraged to log in early for access to special in-game events scheduled throughout the season.
