Calvin Harris Wins Best Dance Act at the 2024 BRIT Awards
Scottish DJ Calvin Harris emerged victorious at the 2024 BRIT Awards, clinching the Best Dance Act award amidst a star-studded evening. Harris, alongside his wife Vick Hope, shared a heartwarming moment with Vick’s parents, Adeline and Nigel, after the win.
During his acceptance speech, Calvin dedicated the award to fellow artist Ellie Goulding, expressing his gratitude for her contributions to his success. Harris and Goulding have previously collaborated on hit tracks like ‘I Need Your Love’ and ‘Outside’.
The ceremony, hosted by Roman Kemp, Clara Amfo, and Raheem Sterling, featured performances from top artists like Becky Hill, Chase and Status, and BRIT Rising Star nominee Tate McRae at London’s The O2 Arena.
A record 98 artists were nominated for the prestigious BRIT Awards, with Calvin Harris breaking ground in the dance category alongside other talented nominees like Barry Can’t Swim, Becky Hill, Fred Again, and Romy.
As the night unfolded, Roman Kemp humorously pranked Calvin Harris, presenting him with a mocktail mimicking scenes from the film ‘Saltburn’, much to the amusement of the audience and viewers.
Hosts Clara Amfo, Maya Jama, and Roman Kemp expressed their excitement and honor in hosting the event, highlighting the celebration of British music, culture, and talent throughout the night.
