Camila Cabello Torre Del Mar Grandmother Visit

Torre del Mar, Spain – Camila Cabello has been seen multiple times in Malaga, not only for concerts but also for personal reasons. Her grandmother, Mercedes Rodríguez, has lived in the coastal town of Torre del Mar for several years.

Cabello has spoken about her trips to the Malaga province, recently on the program Zapeando, where she mentioned she comes “to enjoy” and highlighted the local cuisine, including pescaito frito, espetos, and gazpachuelo.

Social media also noted the singer’s connection to the region. Content creator jotaroja recalled one of Cabello’s recent visits to Torre del Mar to be with her grandmother. This visit occurred in 2023 when Cabello attended her grandmother’s book presentation for “Los boleros que he vivido.” She expressed her love for “the food, the people, and the beach” and mentioned she wishes to spend more time in the town where her grandmother lives.

Cabello admired her grandmother, sharing, “What I take from this trip is my grandmother’s book.” She emphasized the importance of being there to support her grandmother on this achievement. During the interview, she also mentioned two songs she would dedicate to Torre del Mar. When asked which song she would dedicate, she said, “She loves control,” which features Spanish elements and flamenco claps, as well as “Don’t go yet” because “I don’t want to leave,” she added with a laugh.

Mercedes Rodríguez reflected on her bond with Torre del Mar and what brought her to live there. She recalled arriving in the municipality for a month-long visit, during which she connected with many locals. Rodríguez noted that the residents of Torre del Mar are very welcoming and familial. She also pointed out, “It sounds like my old Cuba,” explaining that the “sound world” of Torre del Mar reminds her of the neighborhood where she was born in Cuba.
