Cannes Film Festival Kicks Off with Glamorous Red Carpet Looks

Cannes, France – The 78th annual Cannes Film Festival began on May 13, 2025, with a flourish of red carpet glamour, despite recent controversies regarding stricter dressing guidelines. As stars gathered at the Grand Théâtre Lumière, they showcased stunning fashion choices for the event.

Eva Longoria was among the prominent figures at the premiere of Leave One Day. Sporting a Tamara Ralph Spring 2025 Couture gown, she drew attention with her combination of rose gold bugle beads and dramatic silhouettes. However, while the beaded half of her gown was praised for its luxurious appearance, critics noted that the black velvet corset and oversized bow detracted from her overall look.

“I can see the idea behind the exaggerated silhouette,” said one fashion expert. “But the execution feels mismatched. The materials just don’t work together.” Eva accessorized her outfit with Pasquale Bruni jewels and was styled by Maeve Reilly.
