Cannes Honors Alain Delon with Open-Air Photo Exhibition

Cannes, France – The city of Cannes will pay tribute to legendary French actor Alain Delon with a large open-air photography exhibition, coinciding with the 21st edition of Cannes fait le Mur and the 78th Cannes Film Festival. The exhibition, titled “Delon & Elles,” will run from May 13 to June 13, 2025, transforming the city’s streets into a sprawling urban gallery.
The initiative is organized by the City of Cannes, in collaboration with the Humann Prize and Alain Delon International Distribution, with support from Christian Dior Parfums. The exhibition aims not only to celebrate Delon’s remarkable career but also to honor the women who played significant roles in his artistic and personal life. From Romy Schneider to Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve to Mireille Darc and Ursula Andress, these women have been vital in shaping Delon’s legendary status.
The photographs, many of which have rarely been displayed, will be installed on walls and building facades along the famous rue d’Antibes and other central areas. The exhibition intends to create an open-air museum that is free and accessible to everyone, including tourists and residents. Large canvases and urban backdrops will also redefine public spaces, celebrating the rich history of cinema.
By showcasing these iconic images, Cannes seeks to enrich the cultural landscape and invite the community to engage with the legacy of one of French cinema’s most renowned figures.
