Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 Patch Notes

Tokyo, Japan — Capcom has announced that Title Update 1 for its popular game, Monster Hunter Wilds, will go live on April 4, 2025, at 3 AM UTC, or April 3, 2025, at 8 PM PT. The update will introduce new monsters, missions, and quality of life improvements, aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience for players worldwide.

The patch notes detail several new features, including the introduction of the Grand Hub, a gathering location reminiscent of previous titles in the franchise. This space will enable players to interact, dine, and embark on mini-games while playing alongside their friends. Players will unlock this area following a tutorial mission at Hunter Rank 16.

In addition to the Grand Hub, players can look forward to new monsters, such as a high-rank version of Mizutsune for Hunter Rank 21 and above, and Zoh Shia, which becomes accessible at Hunter Rank 50. Capcom has emphasized that the update will also elevate the maximum upgrade level for armor of rarity 5 and above.

“This title update is about expanding the world of Monster Hunter Wilds,” said a Capcom representative. “Incorporating new story missions and a variety of content is essential for keeping the gameplay fresh and engaging for our players.”

The patch contains numerous bug fixes, particularly aimed at improving stability. Notable issues addressed include game crashes and camera positioning during battles with specific monsters. The development team has also adjusted several weapon balance parameters, enhancing the performance of various bows and mantles.

Additional features include new pop-up camp options, pose sets, and gestures, as well as the inclusion of Expedition Record Boards to track player achievements in time attack quests. According to the developers, the update will also enhance VRAM usage and upgrade the DirectStorage version for better performance on PC.

With a sizable update expected to weigh around 6GB, players will be advised to ensure they have adequate space available on their devices. Capcom intends to build on the momentum of Monster Hunter Wilds, with further updates and seasonal events planned throughout the spring and summer months, including a festival event scheduled for April 22, 2025, and new monsters planned for Title Update 2.

“We are excited for the community to experience all that Title Update 1 has to offer,” said the representative. “We are committed to continually evolving the game and providing ongoing content for our dedicated player base.”
