Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 Release Patch Notes

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Capcom has announced the details for the much-anticipated Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds, set to launch on April 4, 2025, at 3 a.m. UTC, or April 3, 2025, at 8 p.m. PT, depending on players’ geographic locations. This first significant update promises to introduce a host of new features and content aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience for hunters around the globe.

The patch notes, released by Capcom ahead of the update, reveal some exciting additions. Players can expect the return of Mizutsune and the introduction of the new high-rank monster Zoh Shia, which can be faced after completing specific missions tied to player progress levels. “This update is designed to breathe fresh life into Monster Hunter Wilds,” said a Capcom representative in a recent announcement.

Title Update 1 will introduce new missions catering to players at Hunter Rank 21 and above. After players achieve this rank, they can embark on a quest to hunt Mizutsune, a Leviathan-class monster, and unlock a further mission to hunt a Tempered Mizutsune at Hunter Rank 41. At Hunter Rank 50, players will unlock a story mission against Zoh Shia, allowing them to explore deeper within the game’s lore.

In addition to new monsters, players can anticipate the Grand Hub, an endgame gathering location that functions similarly to previous game installments. The Grand Hub will serve as a social space where hunters can interact, forge equipment, and participate in mini-games such as Barrel Bowling. The hub will also host various events, ensuring a lively atmosphere for players.

Capcom has noted that Title Update 1 will also include a broader range of weapons, armor, and skills, as well as an increase in the armor upgrade limit for rarities of 5 and above. Additionally, improvements will be made to the game’s quality of life through numerous bug fixes and balance adjustments. Issues such as game crashes and disappearing monsters have reportedly been addressed in this release.

“We’re dedicated to refining the gameplay experience, ensuring that hunters enjoy their adventures without interruption,” Capcom stated. Some of the significant weapon adjustments include modifications to the Bow, reducing Dragon Piercer damage while increasing Thousand Dragons damage and enhancing the elemental values of Power Volley.

The update will require approximately 6GB of storage on Steam, or around 16GB for users utilizing the High Resolution Texture Pack. Players are encouraged to prepare their systems accordingly before the patch goes live.

This initial update marks the beginning of ongoing improvements and expansions planned for Monster Hunter Wilds, representing Capcom’s commitment to engaging its community. Following this release, players can expect additional content and seasonal events throughout the spring and summer.

Monster Hunter Wilds, which launched on February 28, 2025, has seen strong sales and enthusiastic responses from fans, setting a solid foundation for future updates. With Title Update 1, Capcom aims to sustain that momentum, providing players with new challenges and experiences to explore.
