Captain Kerry Titheradge Opens Up About Personal Life on Below Deck

LOS ANGELES, CA — Captain Kerry Titheradge shared personal insights about his life during a recent episode of Bravo’s Below Deck. On the June 23 episode, Titheradge discussed his girlfriend, Ghönül Bihan, while speaking with stewardess Barbara Kulaif. He mentioned that Bihan, who worked for him in the past, typically has one day off a week on the yacht.
During the conversation, Titheradge revealed that he originally asked Bihan out for dinner a few years after their working relationship. He emphasized that there was no overlap between his previous marriage to Jennifer Titheradge, from whom he divorced in 2020, and his current relationship with Bihan. “She worked for me when I was married,” he said, shedding light on their connection.
Viewers have followed Titheradge’s journey since he joined the Below Deck franchise, which has captivated fans since its launch in 2013. The show depicts the lives of crew members on luxury yachts during charter season, often highlighting personal dramas and relationships.
Captain Kerry took over for Captain Lee Rosbach in season 11, shortly after Rosbach announced his departure. “That came right out of left field. I did not see that one coming at all,” Rosbach commented in an interview, reflecting on the changes within the show.
Kerry expressed gratitude for the support he received from other Below Deck captains during his transition. “It’s a big family. We genuinely are. It’s great,” he said, highlighting the camaraderie among them. Titheradge also acknowledged the challenges he faces in his new role, stating, “I know I have big shoes to fill — but I like it that way.”
In anticipation of season 11, Titheradge hinted at several upcoming firings, asserting that he prefers to assess crew members before making judgments. “I wasn’t going to allocate anyone full-time before knowing how they work,” he explained.
Below Deck airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo and episodes are available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
