In a surprising turn of events, Cardi B has filed for divorce from Offset once again after seven years of marriage. Cardi’s representative confirmed the news, and it was first reported by various sources. The filing took place just a few days ago on July 31.

According to Cardi’s rep, she is seeking primary custody of their two children, Kulture, who is 5, and Wave, who is 2. The rep mentioned that the decision to file for divorce “is not based on any one particular incident” and that the split is described as amicable.

Despite the serious nature of the filing, Cardi seemed to be looking forward to new beginnings. She shared a post on social media thanking her unborn child for bringing her “more love, more life, and most of all renewing my power.” This message hints that she might be entering a new phase in her life.

This isn’t the first time Cardi has considered ending their marriage. Back in September 2020, she filed for divorce but later dismissed it after a month. During that time, she explained that her decision was due to constant arguments and a lack of agreement between the two.

In her previous statements, Cardi mentioned feeling drained and tired of fighting. “I got tired of f—ing arguing,” she had said back then. Although there were infidelity rumors surrounding Offset, she clarified that her first filing wasn’t solely about cheating.

Since their marriage began in 2017, Cardi and Offset’s relationship has been quite complicated. They have faced ups and downs, but Cardi had always emphasized a deep friendship. “We’re best friends. It’s not even about ‘How do you leave a partner?’” she said, highlighting how hard it is to break that connection.

Recently, fans had speculated that the couple might be rekindling their relationship as they spent New Year’s together and attended events as a family. However, Cardi’s latest decision to file for divorce makes it clear that things have taken a different turn.
