Country music singer Carly Pearce is set to bring her “Hummingbird” tour to the Fox Tucson Theatre on Thursday, October 10. The tour follows the release of her latest album, “Hummingbird,” which marks a significant step in her personal and musical journey.

In discussions about her collaboration with well-respected country artist Chris Stapleton, Pearce expressed her admiration. “Oh my gosh, Chris Stapleton is one of my favorite artists ever and one of the greatest singers of all time, I believe,” she said during an interview last month. The duet “We Don’t Fight Anymore” features Stapleton and is one of 13 tracks on the album that Pearce co-wrote with notable collaborators such as Nicolle Galyon, Shane McAnally, and Josh Osborne, who also co-produced the album.

“Hummingbird” comes three years after Pearce’s 2021 album “29: Written in Stone,” which delved into the emotions following her 2019 divorce from fellow country musician Michael Ray. “This is my healing journey of coming back into my own skin and finding myself again after a really devastating period of time,” Pearce stated, highlighting the album’s themes of recovery and self-discovery.

Inspired by the 1990s country music scene, Pearce’s latest work combines traditional country elements with a modern twist. Tracks such as “Truck on Fire” and “Country Music Made Me Do It” illustrate Pearce’s blend of classic country storytelling and contemporary sound.

Before embarking on her headlining tour, Pearce toured with Tim McGraw on his “Standing Room Only Tour” in August, marking her first experience alongside a ’90s country artist. “We just had a really good time,” Pearce reflected, sharing her appreciation for McGraw and his wife Faith Hill.

Pearce expressed enthusiasm for performing in smaller venues like Tucson’s Fox Theatre, citing the intimacy that these spaces offer. “My music lives best in a smaller space,” she mentioned, emphasizing the storytelling nature of her songs.

The concert, set to begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Fox Tucson Theatre, located at 17 West Congress Street, will feature an opening act by newcomer Josh Ross. Tickets range from $20 to $82.50.
