Carson Beck Lamborghini Mercedes Stolen South Florida

MIAMI, Fla. — Carson Beck, the newly transferred quarterback for the Miami Hurricanes, faces an unfortunate setback after two of his luxury vehicles—a Lamborghini and a Mercedes—were stolen in the early hours on Thursday. The incident highlights the vulnerabilities high-profile athletes face regarding personal security in their residences.

Beck, who joined the Hurricanes this winter from Georgia, is still recovering from offseason elbow surgery but was preparing for an upcoming spring practice. According to Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640, the theft of Beck’s vehicles follows a worrying trend of athletes being targeted for their possessions. While Beck’s situation appears less orchestrated than previous high-profile burglaries, it raises concerns over personal security for athletes living in affluent areas.

“The message to anyone with the money to buy expensive things is clear,” Slater noted. “Take proper steps to secure your property, or risk it becoming someone else’s.”

Along with the theft of Beck’s vehicles, his girlfriend, fellow Hurricane athlete Hanna Cavinder, also had her SUV stolen, although it has since been recovered by the police. Currently, authorities are still investigating the whereabouts of Beck’s Lamborghini and Mercedes as the search continues.

Beck, who is under scrutiny as he transitions to a new football program, previously served as the starting quarterback for Georgia, where he threw for a notable 7,912 yards with 58 touchdowns over two seasons. His move to Miami also comes with a considerable name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal reportedly worth $4 million, further elevating his profile within the college sports landscape.

The recent car theft incident adds to a series of robberies targeting star athletes, with notable names in the sports world raising alarms over their security. Especially during the winter season, several athletes have shared experiences of being targeted while on trips. In December, various athletes faced burglaries while their homes were left unattended.

In discussing Beck’s current rehabilitation from his elbow surgery, On3’s Andy Staples said, “We don’t know what his arm is gonna be like coming off the injury, and you have two sample sizes of Carson Beck. When he has two of the best pass catchers, he’s awesome. What can Miami provide to ensure he’s set up for success?”

The botched car theft adds stress to Beck’s recovery timeline as he aims to return in time to build chemistry with his new teammates ahead of the inaugural game of the 2025 college football season. As the investigation unfolds, both athletes are coping with the unfortunate reality of being targeted in their new city.
