Catfish & The Bottlemen Rock Sefton Park in Spectacular Return Show
Catfish & The Bottlemen made a triumphant return to the stage in a jaw-dropping show at Liverpool‘s Sefton Park, marking their first live performance in three years. The band, fronted by the charismatic Van McCann, dazzled over 32,000 fans with an electrifying set on the night of 11th July.
Supported by the talented acts Sundara Karma and The Mysterines, Catfish kicked off their performance with the infectious energy of their hits like ‘Longshot’ and ‘Kathleen’, taking the audience on a journey through their music spanning a decade of hits, from their debut album ‘The Balcony‘ in 2014 to the chart-topping triumph of ‘The Balance‘ in 2019.
The Sefton Park show was part of the larger In The Park Festival, which has seen a lineup of stellar performances in Liverpool and Newcastle-upon-Tyne, including acts like Tom Grennan and Rag ‘N’ Bone Man. Catfish’s headline act in Sefton Park sets the stage for their upcoming open-air shows in Cardiff and Edinburgh, followed by their highly anticipated return to the Reading & Leeds Festivals where they will once again take on the headline slot.
In a grand 10th anniversary celebration of their debut album ‘The Balcony’, Catfish & The Bottlemen announced a special reissue set to release on 13th September. The reissue will feature limited edition versions on CD, cassette, and clear vinyl with exclusive inverted white artwork and additional tracks including the much-loved ‘Hourglass‘ and the rare gem ‘ASA‘.
Adding to the excitement of their return, the band also dropped a new track titled ‘Showtime‘ earlier in February, marking their first fresh material in five years. Catfish & The Bottlemen’s future plans include performances in Dublin‘s RDS Simmonscourt, followed by extensive tours in Australia and the United States, showcasing their unparalleled musical prowess to audiences worldwide.
