Celebrated Comic Artist Ed Piskor Passes Away Amid Controversy
Renowned comic artist Ed Piskor, known for his work on titles like ‘American Splendor’ and ‘X-Men,’ has tragically passed away at the age of 41. The news was confirmed by the Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home in Munhall.
Piskor, who had earned an Eisner Award for his acclaimed series ‘Hip-Hop Family Tree,’ was set to showcase his art at the 707 Penn Gallery until the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust postponed the exhibition upon learning of misconduct allegations against him.
Earlier, a woman accused Piskor of inappropriate behavior on social media, sparking a wave of controversy. Piskor did not face criminal charges but expressed anguish over the impact of the allegations on his life and career.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, his sister Justine Cleaves shared the devastating news, urging for prayers and support during this difficult time for the family.
