Broadcasting icons Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have shared the heartbreaking news of their decision to part ways after being married for a remarkable 14 years. The beloved couple, known for their longstanding presence on ITV‘s popular show This Morning, revealed the end of their marriage through a spokesperson.

Holmes, aged 64, made a notable move to GB News following their departure from This Morning in 2021, while Langsford, also 64, remains a familiar face on ITV’s daytime series Loose Women. The duo’s professional partnership extended across Channel 5, where they co-hosted shows like How The Other Half Lives and Do The Right Thing With Eamonn And Ruth, in addition to memorable appearances on Channel 4‘s Celebrity Gogglebox.

Beginning their romance in 1997, the couple exchanged vows in 2010, with their wedding ceremony attended by esteemed personalities including TV presenters Gloria Hunniford, Jeremy Kyle, EastEnders star Zoe Lucker, and former boxing champion Barry McGuigan. Their family includes son Jack, born in 2002, while Holmes also has three children – Declan, Rebecca, and Niall – from his previous marriage.

Over the years, Holmes has garnered recognition for his contributions to broadcasting, receiving an OBE in the 2018 New Year Honours for his outstanding service. Meanwhile, Langsford ventured into the realm of Strictly Come Dancing, partaking in the competition alongside dancer Anton Du Beke prior to his transition to a judging position on the popular BBC show.
