Challenges Await Players in New Monster Hunter Wilds Update

February 28, 2025, CAPCOM – The Monster Hunter Wilds game has launched a new title update, introducing the highly anticipated Omega Planetes as part of a collaboration with Final Fantasy XIV. This collaboration features new challenges, quests, and unique rewards for players.
To access the new missions, players need to reach HR41 and complete the main quest. The first task, A Peak Predicament, requires players to face off against the formidable Omega Planetes. Defeating this challenging monster grants players various rewards, including the coveted Bale Armor set.
The fight against Omega Planetes is not for the faint-hearted, taking place in four phases across the Rimechain Peak. Players are advised to bring plenty of healing items and high fire resistance gear, as Omega Planetes is immune to fire and attacks with fire-based moves.
“Bring as much healing as you can,” said a community member. “Fire resistance is crucial to avoid instantly dying in this fight.” Players should also focus on destroying any wounds created during the battle to avoid Omega Planetes repairing them quickly.
Once players successfully defeat the Omega Planetes, they’re given the opportunity to unlock even tougher versions of the monster for an advanced challenge, with new missions available to earn additional rewards.
In addition to the armor set, players can also unlock the My Little Chocobo Outfit for their Seikret. This outfit transforms the Seikret into a cute Chocobo, a beloved character from Final Fantasy lore. Players can equip this decoration after completing the Extra Mission 5, which complements their monster hunting experience.
Capcom has made these additions permanent, allowing players to take their time to complete the new missions and obtain the rewards without a rush.
The exciting updates and challenges promise to deliver ongoing engagement for players as they tackle the evolving world of Monster Hunter Wilds.
